Fat Allison's Corpulent Jubilation

I met Allison through a friend of mine. She didn't hesitate to call herself fat. In all reality, she's not particularly fat or skinny, but for awhile she reveled in the idea that a robust figure was a glorious thing citing "bone don't sizzle like meat do, baby." Being a fan of a strange song I wrote while in New York, Triple Cha (incidentally included on her CD), I put together an entire album dedicated to her unique...style.

While there certainly is the title song, which is my favorite, not every song on disc relates specifically to her. There are a few dealing with the strange clothing shop she worked at, called Funhouse (now closed), but the main theme of the all the tracks can best be described as oddly subversive.

Some of the music is just strange, taking new meaning out of audio clips from the world and from videos in the public domain. Other music samples fewer sound clips and more instruments, such as the piano, and follows my usual routine with a stranger twist. One song deals with an unfortunate infection suffered by my dog and another is just completely non-sensical--things Allison can appreciate :).

Overall, it was a fun, albeit quick, project for a big fan.
