I took care of the branding for A Running Start. There are a lot of non-profits out there, but it's great to be able to do work for one you know is truly doing a great thing.

With so many problems locally, I tend to miss what's going on outside of the US more than I should. My mom and my sister recently went to Tanzania to volunteer their time and effort for three months. I was able to learn a lot, through them, about a culture I didn't know much about.

Not long after they returned home, I had the opportunity to design a logo for A Running Start. They do amazing work. While a logo isn't much, I'm very proud that I was able to assist in some way. One of the unfortunate parts about working with media is that opportunities are limited to use your skills to help other people. While each job is, technically, helping someone, helping an organization capable of creating large scale change is a much deeper breath.
