While not so much a professional project, it was certainly an enormous undertaking. For my parents' 50th birthdays, my sister and I elicited stories from our relatives to put together a fake magazine about our parents. Modern Dachis was the result.

Getting to design a 50-page magazine was a lot of fun. The challenges came in getting people to submit their stories in time to go to print and to find a cost-effective way to produce only seven magazines total. While I thought we would never accomplish the former, I was able to find a great opportunity in a site called LuLu

With LuLu's help, we were able to put together seven copies of a full-color magazine for only about $100 and get it in time for the party. It ran pretty close, but made it just under the wire. It ended up being the best thing we could have done, and I still see it on the coffee table whenever I come back home.
