Premature Upgrade is a robot coming of age story that proves it's not the size of your hard drive that counts, but how you use it. X264 is a young robot with grand desires, but when he attempts to upgrade too fast he is met with disastrous results.

My friends and I always wanted to make a robot movie so we, uhm, made one :). It was potentially the most harrowing weekend ever. So many things went wrong and making the costumes took forever. It didn't come out nearly as well as we'd hoped, but it's still pretty cute and fun. And I had a great time with the music :).

So while this short could look a hell of a lot better, it's still a lot of fun. I just try to not remember the sleepless production. When we were done, we took kitchen knives to the costumes and then ran out of energy half-way through the stabbing. It was both sad and cathartic.
