Alternative Designs was one of my very first clients. They were handling the interior design for Five Restaurant & Street Lounge and needed a web site. I was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time.

I learned how much I enjoyed client meetings when working on this project. Part of the fun was working with another designer. It's always nice to speak the same language.
I experimented with a specific process, which I still use today, when working on the design for the Alternative Designs web site. While I don't always adhere to it to the letter, I put out three initial decisions and revise them twice before coming to a decision. Three decisions, three revisions, a 3x3 process.
Following this process has regularly ensured the client stayed involved with each revision. I've noticed in some jobs that clients won't look at closely as they could and really dig in to what they want. Putting somewhat of a limitation on the number of changes not only helped that, but it kept the process moving along at a steady pace while always keeping the client aware of exactly what to expect.
In the end we settled on a fun site. Later on, once I learned database interaction with PHP, I added an administration element to the site to let them update it themselves.
