Considering the story behind the design for Home Inspections of Minnesota, I'm surprised how well it turned out. It was, by far, the quickest design job I ever had. I did a few variations, there were minor revisions, and we had a site up pretty quickly.

I was given the task of redesigning the site for a very small fee, so I agreed to the terms as long as it happened within the period of a week, payment and all. I took the job because a friend of mine wanted to go on a weekend trip to New York. I didn't want to spend the money, but then this job fell into my lap. It was more than enough to cover the trip and the terms were in my favor.
While the job itself ended up being more fun than the weekend in Manhattan. The work was interesting because of the spontaneity surrounding it and the flexibility I had with the design. The job didn't really come with any design specifics or aesthetics to adhere to. My goal was to keep it clean and professional while working in the logo. I tried to keep the navigation prominent while yielding to the color photos of beautiful homes. This helped the photos stand out and illustrate why people were at the site in the first place.
